I just got photoshop cs2. i can add layers to my work, but it will not let me do anything to these layers! they are not locked and i cannot think of what is wrong. masks won't work either. does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Can you post a screen capture of how your setup is? because it can be numerous things that could affect it.
